5. This

In case you ever wondered what I do when I'm bored/randomly decide to have crafts time, here it is!

It only took about 45 minutes to make, and I think the outcome is awesome! (I didn't smoke any of them. Just cut them down to size and burnt them long enough so they had the feel)

This is part of my Halloween costume. My girlfriend Heather is going to be in one of the many outfits Gaga wears in the "Bad Romance" video and I'm going to be one of the Russian guys in the video + these glasses. I can't wait!

4. My New Job

Last week, I was hired at the Hampton Inn here in Ruston. At first, I was a little worried that I would be swallowed whole by the entire experience. When you're staying in a hotel, you never think about what it takes to run the place. It's not until you actually stop to think about what the employees probably do on a daily basis until you realize how big of a job it really is. I was very intimidated at first that I would be slow to pick it up or if I would even do a decent job. Fortunately for me, the people are very helpful and I've already made much longer strides than I thought I would make in my first week. I'm really excited to learn more and see what I can do!

2. Late Night Showers

One of my favorite things in the world is a nice, hot shower. I love nothing more than to just stand under the shower head and let the water wash away all the muck and the grime from the day. I find the shower a great place to stop and think about the things that I'm normally too busy to consider. I've actually come up with some of my best ideas in the shower. It's funny because, compared to most guys, I take a ridiculous amount of time in the shower (almost as much, if not more than, a girl). The thing is, the reason I take so long is because I get lost in my own thoughts and the warmth of the shower. Before I realize it, 10 minutes have passed and I haven't even begun to shower yet!

As amazing as a normal shower is, there is something about a late night shower that is just so much better. I tend to get restless at night, especially during the summer. I usually pass the time by surfing the Internet or watching tv until I'm finally tired enough to go to bed. However, there is a rare night about once a month or so that I get out of the bed and just take a shower. I don't necessarily need to be clean, I just want to clear my head. I actually got out of the shower about 5 minutes before writing this blog entry (I started the shower at about 1:45am). Not only do I feel refreshed, I feel clear-minded and peaceful. I even feel inspired to write something other than this entry!

1. Staying in your car to finish a song

Have you ever been driving somewhere, and right as you're about to get to your destination, one of your favorite songs starts playing? You know that you will be where you need to be long before the song is over. What to do?

I have caught myself in this situation plenty of times, and I will take any measure possible to make sure I listen to the whole song. Whether it's driving in circles for a few minutes, taking the longer route, or just parking and listening, I have done anything to make sure I take in every note of my song.

There have been times that people have looked at me like a stalker, people think there's something wrong when I just sit in my car for a few minutes parked at their house, I've even been a few minutes late to clock in at work just so I can hear my favorite song!
